lexiCan basically enables you to store your data at a freely electable location within your network. However, certain requirements must be met:
1. Storage locations for projects should not be openly accessible. Otherwise the contents of a project could be viewed and changed by circumventing the rights management.
2. The user account that runs the service of the lexiCan server must have read and write permission for the path where the projects are stored. Further information can be found in the article Installation of the server.
