The full text search implemented in lexiCan searches all text-based contents of a project. In order to accelerate the search process, these contents are indexed by the server service when they are saved and a search index is created which represents the data basis for searches.
In rare cases, the full-text search may not find existing contents of a project. In this case it is recommended to re-index the entire project with all its contents, i.e. to create a completely new search index. To do this, start the Administrator, select the project in question and click on ‘Recreate Search Index’ in the toolbar.
Depending on the size of the project, the process may take a few minutes. During this time, no further actions can be performed in the Administrator.
