Download the installation file from our website and run the file for the server on the server. You install the component required for lexiCan Server in the usual way. Just click ‘Next’ at the first step.
Define the storage location that should be used or just confirm the defaults and click on ‘Install’.
When the installation has completed successfully, the following dialog box is displayed. Click on ‘Close’ in order to finish the installation.
The server of lexiCan Business is operated as a local service. You can check whether the service has been installed and started correctly. To do this open ‘Services’ in the Windows administration and search for the entry ‘lexiCan 6 Business Server’. Its status should be ‘Started’ and defined as start type ‘Automatic (Delayed Start)’. You can change it to ‘Automatic’.
The server service uses for operating the local system account by default. However, if required, e.g. for security reasons, it can also be operated with another user account.
Whether you run the service with the local system account or another user account. It must be ensured that the account used has been granted full access rights to the project data.
