If not already done, install the ‘Windows Search’ service on the computer used as a server and ensure that it is started automatically.
For indexing, Windows Search needs a so-called IFilter for each file format. Windows comes with such a filter for most file formats. Further information can be found in an FAQ article (German) on our website.
